A Conversation with Dr. Kelvin Droegemeier

Recognizing the interest among key lawmakers to examine new ideas, APLU and its partner
organizations have spearheaded a joint effort to develop a new indirect costs funding
model. This work is being led by Kelvin Droegemeier, a longtime champion of the federal
research enterprise, former Director of the White House Office Science and Technology
Policy during the first Trump administration, and former Chair of the APLU Council
on Research in his previous role at the University of Oklahoma.
